Break!

Hi Class!
I hope you will all enjoy this little break before class starts again in September! If you like, post photos and stories from any fun adventures you have over break! I would love to hear and read some great stories!

Enjoy!
Brittani

ps. I hope you all will continue to practice speaking English over the break!

P.s.s. See you all September 16!

(The pictures are of Blackberry cupcakes I baked last week; the blackberries came from around my neighborhood. They were so delicious!)

New Topic: Funny Business

Hello class!
For our new topic, I would like for you to write about something recently that made you laugh; something you thought was funny. This could be something humorous you saw or heard on TV, at the movie theater, or in your real life.
Tell us a story about something that made you laugh!

*For some good vocabulary, look on page 80 of your work book, under Word Power, Storytelling.

My funny story:
Last weekend my grandmother came up from Portland to my home in Kirkland for a visit. I thought it would be a great idea to take my Grandmother to down town Kirkland to shop around and eat lunch. So, when my grandmother and my mother arrived at my house, I drove them to down town Kirkland and we shopped around. Both my grandmother and mother seemed to really enjoy themselves; they loved looking at the large houses on the waterfront and shopping in some of the fancy boutiques. They were really enjoying themselves. However, that enjoyment came to a stop... As my grandmother, mother, and I were waiting at a crosswalk, deciding which restaurant we were going to, pigeons flew over our heads and unfortunately dark, and gooey splatter fell from my the sky and onto my grandmother's head! Sadly, a bird left "droppings" on my grandmother's head. When my mother and I figured out what had happened, we laughed so hard we cried! Thankfully, my grandmother has a good sense of humor, because she laughed too!
